Identifying the dropped threads.  Things planted early in the book can help later on.  And if they’re not addressed again, then the reader says, “Hey, what the hell?  Why even introduce the mischievous rabbit?”

We’re getting a little squeezed here, with project after project piling up in their respective urgencies.  The book is always in danger of being pushed back, tamped down, in favor of the activities that make more immediate cash for things like paying the rent.  Cannot appear shiftless to the significant other; wouldn’t want to carry any echo of my father.  I can balance all of these things if I’m extremely clever.  The problem is that I’m not.  Moderately clever, maybe.

I need my productivity system to come together, but even that keeps getting pushed off.
