The above number includes a fair amount of deleting and revising.  I’m now going through the highlighted text that was stuffed in the back of the document, so it has to either justify its existence through a slight transformation or else be obliterated altogether.

Player Choice: 135,630

So we got about 1400 words done today, pretty good considering I was preparing for a speech for Toastmasters for most of the day.  Epilogue is done for this draft, actually put the word “END” at the end, though some short chapters need to be inserted here and there.  Then I can do the “sixth” draft, making it all make sense in time for Benjamin’s deadline. And then there’s this:

Cold in the library– the chill is seeping into what’s normally a reliably cozy space.  Wish I had the fingerless gloves that Jane gave me, but they’re back in the apartment.  I don’t think I’ll last here much longer.  But I’ve at least gotten a thousand done so far, and that can be built on later.  Now I have a speech to attend to.

Limping toward the finish in Player Choice. Not writing for a few days threw off my groove.  I’m going to have to go to the library tomorrow and wrap this puppy’s epilogue up so that I can get to the editing in time to hand off to Benjamin.
