Ding!  Today I have leveled up.  Finally.  After getting stuck for a while at Level 1, I am now Level 2, a Novice Freelancer.  You’ll see the updated window at right.  Why the hangup for a few days or so, you ask?  Well, according to my system of self-torture– er, I mean, self-improvement– I cannot progress to a new level of freelancerhood until I have raised all my stats to the new level’s benchmark.  To get to Level 2, I needed to have all six stats– Stamina, Invention, Finesse, Presence, Duty, and Generosity at 10.  A couple lagged behind for a while.  Thus while I was completing deeds that should have raised the other stats, I couldn’t get credit for them.

A good lesson there to keep things balanced as I go along, to not let any stat lag behind for too long.  That’s the whole point of this thing, y’dig?  Let’s see if I can get to Level 3 a lot more quickly.  The period for getting to Level 2 was just over three weeks.
