Hey, I’m just gonna post this now. Not much progress, but it’s progress. So shall the scribes note. I have a freelancing assignment that needs to get wrapped up tonight.

The Shadow over Portsmouth is going on hold for a little while. All my energies need to pour into getting Player Choice ready for Benjamin to read, and as it happens, the momentum has almost fully transferred to that book from the horror book anyway. Over the next month, you’ll see some funny things happen to that Player Choice wordcount, as it goes up and down and perhaps even the title of the book changes. That’ll be as the draft-writing finishes and the editing kicks in.

Light duty tonight. Final couple of chapters now, though there’s a bit to fill in here and there.

Yes, I am writing on Christmas Eve. This is somewhat excused by the fact that yesterday was what really felt like the Eve, spending it at my mom’s with Jane and then opening presents this morning, because my mom would be working on Christmas proper. Still, I shouldn’t linger here too longer in my own brain/on the page. I just didn’t get any writing done yesterday, while preparing for the holiday, and I didn’t want to log two dud days in a row. Wanted to get on here to put in at least 1,000 words for Player Choice (while not bothering to poke at the drying husk of Shadow over Portsmouth, whose life force has been stolen, most cruelly, by the final crescendos of the other book).
